Who Can Apply?
Almost every business in the UK can apply for a Superconnected Cities grants, but there are key points for eligibilty
The Right Location
Your business is within an eligible area one of the many cities or regions taking part in the scheme and the connection is for your main business premises
You are a SME, registered charity, social enterprise or sole trader
You are eligible if the installation of your new broadband connection will cost over £100 and you have not received more than £120,000 in government grants in the last 3 years
The Right Contract Type
You are willing to sign up to a minimum 6 month contract with your broadband supplier and the broadband service you select delivers a speed or performance improvement on your current connection
About the SuperConnected Cities programme
Broadband Connection Vouchers are being delivered by the each SuperConnected City & region, Each local scheme is designed to meet local needs while helping local businesses to grow and develop.
On 3 December, the Chancellor announced that the Government will make up to a further £40m available from April 2015 to March 2016 to support and help more cities administer The Broadband Connection Voucher Scheme.
Connection Vouchers will be made available on a first come, first served basis.
The Government has committed £150 million for the SuperConnected Cities programme, which is managed by Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK), a unit within the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
Your business can get a connection voucher of up to £3,000 for faster, better broadband through the Government’s Broadband Connection Vouchers scheme.
