Middlesbrough is among the next spate of cities to benefit from the UK government’s Super Connected Cities program to enhance broadband connections in urban areas across the country.

Local communications firms in the Middlesbrough region say they are excited about the prospect as they will be accepting the government subsidised vouchers from small businesses to expand their broadband speeds. The vouchers can be up to £3,000 in value and will be available in April 2015.

The Super Connected Cities program is hoped to improve small business prospects in the UK by improving internet functions for faster communications and performance.
